Are CFLs All They're Cracked Up to Be?


CFLs There's no disputing the environmental benefits of compact fluorescent light bulbs, but lately there's been a lot of talk about their potential dangers. Since CFLs contain mercury—albeit tiny amounts—they require special cleanup if they accidentally break, and disposal at a qualified recycling facility when they eventually burn out.
